Going Global Partnership with IIT Madras

In December 2021, CIMS and the Centre for Memory Studies at IIT Madras in Chennai, India, were awarded a Going Global Partnerships Exploratory Grant for the project “Memory Studies in its National and International Contexts”. Supported by the British Council, the project developed an innovative online teaching collaboration at Master’s level between India and the UK. It created opportunities for students and staff to explore memory studies in both national and international contexts, while strengthening academic exchange between the two institutions. The grant forms part of the British Council’s wider Going Global Partnerships programme, which supports collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning and transnational education between India and the UK.
